Cats lose more than the game
|
|
Tuesday night saw the first ever meeting of the Fatcats and the Ex Troggery. Early in the first period Cam Carty left the ice with an apparent injury. According to team doctors and David Palmer who is sidelined with a torn tricep, Cam incurred a large gash on his inner thigh more than an inch deep. He was promptly taken to hospital and received 8 staples to close the wound. Perhaps as a premonition of the game to follow, the Cat's fans witnessed more and more dirty play by the opposing team. Unable to capitalize on some opportunities, the Cats fell 4-2, with a late 3rd period goal by Ian Furlong who promptly road his stick passed the Ex Troggery's bench. Following the final buzzer, as if to add insult to injury, one of the Ex Troggery took a run at Furlong and was issued a roughing penalty. Possible suspensions are pending this matter. |
